Invite your MP to meet Joel

At least 259 LGBTQI+ people were held in UK immigration detention last year, facing homophobic bullying, harassment and abuse.

We're working with Joel Mordi, a Nigerian LGBTQI+ activist who was detained after seeking safety in the UK, to raise awareness of the dangers LGBTQI+ people face in UK immigration detention.

The Home Office has committed to review its detention policies in the coming months. This is the new government's opportunity to end the detention of all LGBTQI+ people.

Invite your MP to our event in parliament to meet Joel and learn how they can help on Tuesday 12 November.
